Cars Must be left completely stock aside from a bearing kit, stock friction shocks, stock springs, and stock sized pinion gears must all be used. *****If you have an issue with a part (for example the front driveshafts of a TT02) you may install an upgrade part for purposes of durability, please use this exception sparingly.
Motors will be the included silver can sealed endbell type motor that comes with the kit
The kit includes a speed control or you may use any brushed speedcontrol.
You may use the tires included with your kit or the USGT spec tire that we run in GT2 class.
Once you have broken out of the regular production class (2 consecutive wins) you may be asked to run the expert class if we have a sufficient amount of racers. You may also opt to run this class.
Same Rules as regular production class, but aimed toward the more experienced racer. We will only run this class if we have a full field (6) of regular production.
Any 4wd touring car chassis, specifications must follow IFMAR rules, 21.5t motor, Blinky ESC, 2s battery (shorty or std) 1350g min. weight. Rubber tire only. This is the only class you may use tire warmers in.
Your car must cost less than $350 new if bought as a RTR or $250 if purchased as a kit. Some older models will also be allowed (10 years or more since release), please check with the race directors for a final determination if your car would qualify. Your car must run front and rear differentials no one way or spools.
Must be based upon a real car. Examples would be bodies that are legal in USGT, most tamiya bodies, VTA bodies. Bodies may use wings included with the body. If you are abiding by GT2 rules you may run a full wing.
21.5 motor Fixed timing motor
Open ESC, but must be run in Blinky mode
7.4 volt lipo, shorty or stick
USGT spec tire, or the tires included with your kit, no slicks, and no tire warmers!
1300g minimum weight
UPDATE: Due to the unavailability of many of the budget kits we will be allowing cars that follow the USGT rules as well, that means if you have a spool or are running a newer kit you need to run your wing cut down and meet the 1380 minimum weight for USGT. Any fixed timing 21.5 is fine.
